First of all I want to thank you all for posting comments. I really enjoy reading them when I wake up in the morning!! I feel like a little bit Greencastle is here with us!! Also, for those of you who don't know much about computers like me, if you click on the picture it enlarges it.
We went to the doctor's office here in Guangzhou today for Quinn's medical examination. It was bizarre to say the least. There were all these people in white lab coats and masks covering their faces. The office reminded me of what hospitals in in the 40's and 50's must have been like; sterile, light blue walls, metal chairs, enamelware examination tables. An older female doctor came in. She had frizzy black hair with a sparkly butterfly clip holding up her bun. I tried to tell her our daughter "can't make poopy!" but she didn't care. She poked her belly a couple times and said "good baby!" Uggh.....We then went into the ENT room where a young doctor with a big light on her head examined Quinn's ears. "EARWAX!" was all she said and shooed us into the hall. I believe I was more confused AFTER I left the office...All I can say is I never want to get sick in China. After that we went to the Guangzhou police station to apply for Quinn's passport. Piece of cake. We were in and out in 10 minutes. We went back into the Qing Ping Market again today. They had tiger paws and monkey paws out there today. I'll post a picture showing it. The kids got to see lots of merchants butchering their animals. We met some very nice people there today. One lady gave Quinn and Donovan balloons and another lady told us our baby is "lucky" to be adopted by Americans. We bought some ginger candy there and some cookies made out of what we believe was pork. It tasted just like the red meat at China Buffet. It was good though.
This evening was the highlight. We ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant....once again no English menus, no English speaking people......so........we ordered pigeon (FANTASTIC!!) roasted pork, noodles and ........SCORPION SOUP!! It was a soup that was full of scorpions, kidneys, pork, beef and green vegetables like kale. We all ate a scorpion. It was chewy; about like eating a twig. I couldn't eat the kidneys though. By the way, I didn't like the soup either. I think we will go back to this restaurant though. I can't believe how good the pigeon was. It was roasted with a sweet glaze on it. Donovan said it tasted just like McDonalds french fries. It really did!
Now, everybody is back in the room; exhausted from our day. Quinn is sleeping soundly at the moment. She has slept really well, getting almost 8 hours of sleep a night. Tomorrow we are going on a tour to a park at White Cloud Mountain. (Shangbao, this is the place I believe you were telling me to visit!) There is a beautiful park there that the kids can play at. Until tomorrow!!!
MK- I love your emails!! I love you sooooooo much sweetie!!
Donovan ate a pigeon for dinner! Pigeons are those gray birds that hang out around the courthouse. :)

So glad to hear things are going well. Sounds like you are having fun trying out the food. It's nice to see a little bit of a smile on her face. She looked so solemn in all her pictures before you left. Will keep praying that all continues to go well.
You look so young Kathi-what a bright spot for the entire family.
