Two crazy girls in Chicago!Last weekend MK and I took the train to Chicago! We stayed at the Palmer House and had a great girls weekend! Here were the highlights:
. Visiting The American Girl Store. We celebrated my birthday by having dinner there. Our first course was cinnamon buns. Next, our waiter brought us an antipasta dish with stuffed egg salad stuffed tomatoes, potatoe wedges with cheese, cucumbers, and fried wontons with dipping sauce. MK's entree consisted of chicken fingers and tomato soup. I had roasted chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. For dessert we had dirt pudding cups and heart shaped cakes. It was a wonderful place to spend with my daughter!
. Eating at The Italian Village; Chicago's oldest Italian restaurant.
. Staying at the Palmer House....very beautiful! (We spent an afternoon exploring the hotel. It was built in 1899.)
. Going to Shedd Aquarium.
. Eating Chicago Dogs in Grant Park. It was a beautiful day!
. Seeing Chicago high atop the Sears Tower!
